WHO WE ARE

Total Loss Boss™ is a team of Independent Auto Appraiser here to help you fight back when your vehicle is totaled and the insurance offer seems low.

WHAT WE DO

We review your insurance provided vehicle valuation and tell you if it’s fair and accurate or if it should be disputed — and if it is, we go to battle for you!

We offer reviews on Automobiles, Light Trucks, Motorcycles, RV, Trailers, Semi Trucks/Trailers and Equipment

WHY IT MATTERS
Most people leave $1000-$5000 on the table by not auditing the insurance valuation. We help you get what you’re owed.

HOW IT WORKS

START WITH A REVIEW OF JUST $25 FOR AUTOMOBILES AND LIGHT TRUCKS OR $50 FOR SPECIALTY VEHICLES

VALUATION REVIEW:

We conduct an expert review of the insurance offer.

If the offer is accurate and fair, we will confirm that.

If the offer is low, We'll give you our fair market value based off our research and let you decide if it's worth fighting for.

VALUATION DEMAND:

If you decide to move forward, your $25/$50 Review fee is then applied to the $200 Auto Dispute or $400 Specialty Vehicle Dispute, and we'll create a Valuation Demand and handle all negotiations with the insurance carrier from there on your behalf.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1: What is a total loss?
A total loss occurs when the cost of repair of a vehicle exceeds a certain amount. It’s a situation where it makes more sense for the insurer to pay the pre-accident value of the damaged vehicle rather than repairing it.

2: When is my vehicle Totaled?

It varies by your State, but the vehicle is totaled when: The cost of repair + salvage value is greater than its Actual Cash Value.

3: What is my vehicle’s salvage value?

It’s what the damaged vehicle is worth. This amount is typically provided by salvage auction and is the average of what similarly damaged vehicles have sold for in the past or the auction provided a specific bid price.

4: Who calculates my cash value?

Insurance carriers generally use valuation services to assess the value of your vehicle. CCC, Mitchell, Audatex and they are the largest providers of valuation services. However, these companies only value vehicles for insurance companies!

5: Do I have to take the insurance offer?
Absolutely NOT! You are entitled to a fair offer by law! We can help you with that. Simply start your $25 review for your Auto/Light truck or $50 for the Specialty Vehicle review

6: Will the insurance company recognize my appraisal?

Yes, as long as the appraiser issuing it is licensed and competent.

7:  What’s the appraisal clause?

If you do not agree with your own insurance company’s offer, your policy may include an appraisal provision. Typically, it states:

  • You hire your own independent appraiser (you afford the costs)

  • The insurance company hires their own appraiser (they afford the costs)

  • If the appraiser hired by the insurance company and the appraiser you hired don’t come to an agreement, then an umpire will be selected.

  • The umpire is an unbiased person who will settle the claim for the common ground.
